Alba

If you are an active kind of person you can enjoy walking or mountain biking the Barolo Vineyard Trail and from there cross the Apennine mountains reaching the beautiful Riviera and taking a bath in the Mediterranean Sea. The Barolo Vineyard Trail winds its’ way through Piedmont, Italy’s hidden paradise for wine connoisseurs and gourmets. It explores the Langhe region, set between the Alps and the Apennine mountains, which is blessed with fertile lands that produces the Tube Magnatum, a prized white truffle, and one of Italy’s most prestigious red wines: The Barolo.  Our tour moves amongst vineyards between pretty medieval villages and castles and you will have plenty of opportunity to enjoy the food and wine of the area visiting interesting cellars as the one of the Barolo Castle. From the Langhe area we cross the mountains until we reach the Seaside with warm temperatures (16°-20°C) till the end of November and already again in February. Olive harvest continues during November and December that gives us plenty of time to study the process of this traditional and not very easy job of harvesting the terrace-fields with olive trees (in the season it is even possible to participate for one day to harvest its’ own Pure Natural Olive Oil) and we can visit some enchanting Middle Age villages along the coast.
